Could Being Laid Off Be Your Jump Start To Something Wonderful?

It still amazes me how many people are affected by layoffs. I know where I live it seems that I hear about lay offs less and less often, which is a great thing, but I know in many other areas of the country that may not be true. You may have stumbled on our site after having just been laid off. You may have been laid off for a while now and you're still searching for your next job.

No matter where you are in the process, it's so very important to stay positive throughout your transition.

I posted about a documentary back in December 2009 entitled Lemonade. And it's just recently been released. In fact a the time of this posting it's been ranked number one on Hulu, where it's currently available for viewing, for two days in a row this week. It gives us a glimpse into the lives of 16 people, what happened to them on the day they were laid off to what they are doing now.

There were too many lines that resonated with me, but this particular one was really great. "If it weren't for losing my job, my life would be aweful, because my life is great now. I love it," Steve Hall.

I hope you'll stop by and watch the 35 minute film, rate it and find a new angle on making the most of your lay off.
