Job Searching Takes Longer Than Many Anticipate

If you've been out of work longer than a month, longer than six months, longer than a year, you're not alone. It's an unfortunate reality, but finding a job in the last year has taken longer than many people expected. If you've changed jobs over the last 10 years your job search now is probably quite different this go around. That's one of the many reasons why this site was created. We publish posts that ideally get you thinking outside of the "normal" job search mode.

The Austin American Statesman recently ran an article hightlighting two individuals who have been out of work for a year. The reporter writing the story asked me to give helpful hints for people who might be in the same boat.
