An Interview with a Recruiter

For this article, I interviewed Elizabeth Lalli-Reese, from Starr Tincup in Fort Worth, by asking her some questions I thought job-seekers might be curious about. I figured it would be a refreshing change to get to see from an actual recruiter’s perspective. Elizabeth Lalli-Reese has over ten years experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. You find a job you want, you send your resume to an email address or submit it online at the company’s website . . . and you never hear back.

The Necessity of a Good Online Presence

Until very recently, I never knew how important having a strong online presence is in regards to finding a job. Of course people are not born under rocks; you have probably heard the term, but I don’t think most people know just how vital it is. Here’s the thing . . . having an established online presence is important because companies are increasingly using the internet to find employees. In fact, I would say it is their primary method. So, if you want a job from a company, then make yourself available and easy to find wherever the company is looking.
